Hi all,
I am in the final stage of completing my small oven build and I am at the point of connecting the single element up. My question is that the element is sitting in the middle bottom of the oven, are the wires able to handle being exposed to the temps inside the oven? The wire I bought from a local appliance repair shop (told it was oven wire at $3.84/ft) and it has a fiberglass braid and silicone over the wire. Is this stuff going to melt off or burn the first time I use the oven? Thanks all. Brian Last edited by bhooge; 11-16-2007 at 09:06 PM. |
