Before permantly installing it I am going to put a bead of RTV high temp seal around the round hole where the fan meets the sheetmetal.
Are u using the fan as an exhaust or to circulate the hot air?? Or Both??
Just trying to understand thats all.

Man that does look very good. I'm going to be building an oven in the next couple weeks.* I'm wondering if instead of sealing the inside with caulk, can the seams just be welded together?

What happens if you have to remove a panel for repair once welded not to mention you would burn the Galvanized off!!??

From what i understand welding galvanized will bring out toxic fumes so you might be better using sealant instead.

A true statement about the Galvanize. You don't want to breath that stuff. Don't weld it, you won't be able to get to anything, if you need to. The sealant that I use is working fine and has caused no problems thus far. I intend on using it in the oven I'm now building and the next one I have in mind.
