Hi Alex,

Really nice job on your oven! I hope this is not too stupid of a question, but where do you buy the Roxul Mineral Wool?

Thanks in advance for your time.

David

I googled Roxul and then sent an email asking them for a distrubutor near me and got an email back with the info. Company was Mata in Denver. They delivered all the 4" Roxul right to my shop.

It sure is lame that you cannot edit after 24 hrs, I don't see why not? Oh well. I was going to add the Roxul link to my above post, but seeing how the edit feature expires.... I'll do it here then instead. http://www.roxul.com/sw34066.asp

So yesterday my sheetmetal contractor dropped off the rest of the 18 ga. and the recessed pans for the elements. The pans are designed to have the element sit right as they are in the pan. An 18 ga box will attach at the end to cover where the wires where they come in the pan and connect to the elements. This will make changing out a bad element a snap without having to remove the whole recess pan in the event one goes bad. This maybe overkill but a nice feature should an element ever need replacing. More pics as the pan areas are cut in the walls.

Gator, that oven is looking great. I have been considering getting into powder coating. I also restore old cars and trucks. I know you said that you would post the cost of everything when you were finished, but could you give me some Idea of where your at now cost wise? That would be the perfect size oven for me since we're doing about the same thing with it. Thanks

Elements, I got mine off Ebay. Do Google search for: GE WB44X5043

They are available from many people. Ebay often has them under 10 bucks each. 4" Roxul was $1.00 a sq. foot, don't know the R factor. I'll answer the other questions when I have time.
