If your PID terminals 6&7 are DC they should have polarity on them of positive(T) and negative(-), just match the polarity up to the SSR terminals 3&4, that will take care of the control circuit. The line/load side of the SSR are on terminals 1&2 . This is a single phase switch. If you look at the wiring diagram , on the left side of the contactor drawn on the diagram are 2 terminals with a 10 gage line side, and a 10 gage load side terminal. These two terminals represent terminals 1&2 on your SSR. Simple enough.. just remember to open the panel feeder bkr or unplug the oven before doing any work on the elements because they will aways have at least 110 volts on them. Fred

Mike, That's my wiring diagram you're looking at. The PID I'm using (TC408) is not polarity sensitive on the inputs(1 & 2). If your PID is, then adjust the wiring to match polarity. Ed

Make sure you use a heatsink for the SSR. I found out the hard way! CURPOW! Those things get aweful hot with out the sink.

What does the resiter symbol mean on the wiring diagram?Do you need to install a resister to connect legs 8 and 9?
