Default Okay, New Item and idea

While my oven has been done for over a year, I just happened to notice that, at the tops/insides of my doors ( I have double doors), there is the smoke residue from the powders that smoke.

I do have a seal, but after I closed the doors and got up on a ladder to have a look ( with the lights on in the oven ), I found that I had a fairly good sized gap between the door and the seal around the center of where the doors come together. I have a home brew door latch, that apparently does not do the job.

So, When I was out browsing the local RV Salvage places for what ever I might find for my new oven, I ran across some latches, that are the draw/pull latches. I have it posted below.

Where this is going is, if anybody would like to have a couple, they cost $3.00 each and that's what you would pay me plus the S&H. These are adjustable. Oh! and by the way, it solved my gap at the top of the door.

These latches are of course made of good solid steel and are adjustable.

I could have used these a year ago! Thanks for the offer, I'm sure some will find these useful.

I could have used them about then as well. But I am now.

As for the size, here is what they measure.
Folded up = 5" long
The hook screwed all the way in = 2 1/2"
The hook unfolded with it screwed in measures = 3 1/4"
The hook will screw out about 7/8"
The back of base to the end of the hook screwed in = 5 1/4" total
Center of hook pivot to it's end = 4"
Folded up from end of hook to back of base = 4 1/2"
The hook is adjustable from the picture out longer. But the pull distance would be the same as closed. It would just reach out farther.

It appears to be the same as the ones with the round hook shaft, I've seen on Ebay and other places for around $10.00 to $14.00.

It pulls my door up tight now with now leaks between the gasket and the door.
