Default Building my second oven - slowly

I've been slowly building a down sized oven, from my first one. Going slow with it. No particular reason, just in no BIG hurry. But I do small parts a lot and figured it would be easier and quicker to do the small things in.

Anyway, at the suggestion of my Son, we are trying out a different approuch to the door. You can check it out with the link I provided. It's a bit dark.

My luck I would forget to not stand in front of it and wind up picking my teeth out of the ceiling

Looks good.

Pretty cool!

Will it still open with the added weight of the sheetmetal, insulation, etc?

Also, that gas cylinder is not going to like getting hot and will actually explode if it gets too hot. Whatever you do, design it so that the cylinder doesn't get heated by the oven.

As for any particular reason? Not really, just trying something different. It does help with it not swinging out, although I had designed it to be two small doors swinging open.

The weight of the door was considered with the purchase of the pistons. I won't have anything in the door other then the insulation, sheeting and a window. Maybe a small door for IR thermo reading. As for getting too hot, they should be okay, as there is air space between the surface and them and they have high impact plastic ends attaching them. But we shall see, won't we? But it should be okay.
