Well Wet, looks like your doing a great job on the oven. It gets a little bit of a pita sometimes, but when you get it done and run your first test and it comes out, good or bad, there's a since of satisfaction. Damn! it works!

I put a window in my first big oven and am glad I did. You can watch the powder change from dust to something that looks more like what it is supposed to be. I also put a IR thermo door in mine so I could open it and check the temp of the parts.

Something to think about also. I had an older German guy that works with temps, PID's and thermocouples everyday, and he told me to put my thermocouple inside a steel pipe, put it through the wall and place a cap on the end inside the oven. That way I would get a true part temp reading. I have a digital thermocouple that is inside the oven and between the two, the oven temp gets higher then the one in the pipe, which is the one I go by for part temp. I had to take a new pic last month, as I couldn't find the original. But it's the same now as then.

I am actually thinking about putting an extra Digital Temp gauge in my controller box. One in a pipe and one out.

Will have updates this weekend. Have been waiting for a few parts. Got my burners, Digital Thermostat w/thermocouple, burner mounting boxes. Waiting on the sheet metal and fan. Hopefully that shows up Friday.

Hey Wet,

What version of Roxul insulation did you go with and where did you find it?

Keep up the good work!

You can get it from McMaster Carr or go to Roxul website and fill out a form asking for someone in your area who carries it.

I actually got the 4" Roxul from an insulation company here in MI. My uncle owns an insulation company so I got it threw him. Was $21.xx a bag.
