has anyone bent or shaped regular oven elements , or is this a no no

i have bent some with no problems , but i tried to not to make too sharp bending
i tried to keep a radius in my bends , i use a ohm meter to check after to make sure it is not shorted

You know the outter layer of burners are just insulation. The wire inside that comes out the end is actually doing all the work and would work fine without the outter layer, until it shorted anyway.
