Default Powder coating inside of oven?

I was wanting to powder coat the inside of my oven white. Would that be ok or is that not a good idea. If it is ok then should I use high temp or is regular powder fine.

BTW what is the max temp range for regular powder coating after it is cured.

Don't think it's a good idea, as powder does have a cure time (and temp). But I would think that after awhile it would start flaking off and getting into your powdered items that you are curing. You will have enough dust problems as is, why invite more headaches? I used a hi-temp engine paint (1200*) and around the edges it has started flaking. So I have to make sure I clean my oven every time with a vacuum cleaner. Fortunately it's almost all gone. Another of my bad idea's.

I think I'd read your post a while back and tucked it away as a "must do" when I build my oven. I'm glad you provided feedback on that idea! Thanks a ton!

I'm just wondering what happens to the inside of the oven after time. Does it rust or anything? I've seen pics of the inside of ovens which used galvanized sheet metal and they're rusty. Is there any way to protect it?

the galvanized sheet metal does look nasty over time, but as the others said, use 1200deg engine enamal spray paint, did mine in the silver and it holds up well

The inside of my oven, as well as the outside are just plain bare steel. After using it for awhile, i noticed it was showing surface rust. That's when I got the idea of spraying it with Hi-temp engine paint. For the most part, it took care of and still is taking care of the major parts(panels) inside the oven. What I have been seeing is where I have the sheet metal panels fastened to the frame, has paint flaking off. Otherwise it is doing okay. Why it is flaking off is beyond me, but it is, as little. That's about all I can tell you about it.
