a good head start

When building a oven if on a budget try starting with a existing cabinet like a steel storage cabinet like you would find in a factory. I got a used soda cooler for a $100.00 it is stainless steel and already insulated. It is five feet wide four foot high and two foot deep internally. I tested the insulation and its good to atleast a 1000 degrees then it just melts. I scrapped the glass sliding doors and built 2 from steel and aluminum and got the high temp insulation from mc master and carr online. I took the control panel and elements and therocouple from an electric house oven. it came out really nice. I will post pics when I figure out how.
