I have [3] 2600 elements for the oven I'm building. Looking over some of the formulas. I may only need 2 of these if I am figuring correctly. My oven has inside Dim. of 30" x30" X55" does this sound right or should I install all three. Oven has metal stud frame and 14 gage steel walls inside and out. Will use unfaced insulation between walls.

2 is more than enough. don't want to overdo it, or you'll have to be real careful not to burn your finishes.

why 14ga skins?? PC manual recommends 22ga.

Your oven is roughly the size of mine and I use 5200 watts. Works fine. At 5200 watts you can run it on a 30 amp circuit.

Hello Len, i am using the 14 gage because I can get it cheap , about 40 bucks for all ill need. I have already made my panel and used a 40 amp contactor. Will leave it alone in case I want to expand it later. Was building in the garage until the cold drove me to the basement. Working on the door now but cant assemble it down there or thats where it would stay. Bad weather in N. Indiana
this winter. Thanks for the input Jon

Just finished up the door and ready to move on to bottom frame support with angle iron and wheels.Hopefully weather will get better so I can start assembling the panels made up in the garage. Also I'm located just north of Mishawaka called Granger on Michigan -Ind. line. My daughter attended Purdue.

Carlton, Granger huh? I can almost throw a stone and hit your house from here. I live near Bristol, but most people don't even know where that is. You should be cracking, cause with the weather we are having right now is great!

    Diablo, another Hoosier, cool.
