The biggest problem I'm seeing in your build, is the amount of space you are allowing for insulation. Rule of thumb is, 1" if insulation for every 100 degrees of temp rise you expect. So If you are looking to raise the temp to 500-550, you'll need 4.5 - 5 inches of insulation. At the 550 range you can still get away with 4 inches of ins.... but there will be a price to pay in heat loss, and energy bills.

The gun set-up is a good start for a person to learn and coat a lot of schmancy stuff with.... There are many others to check out too, in the same range of price.

see, im afriad ill loose space if i do the thick layer inside

is that sheet metal pictured, good enough to be the inside layer? and ill just build around it? or not

I'm not sure losing space is all that big of a deal when you consider how hot the outside of your box will be at curing temps. It will be very dangerous to you and quite possibly your house/shop. Insulation is a safety thing as well as an energy thing, and a temp thing.

keep in mind - - one inch of insulation for every 100 degrees of temp rise expected. Most cure temps are around 400 degrees. That means you'll have a rise in temp (from ambient) of around 300 degrees plus. Considering you have a good grasp of that, That 300 degree number is if your ambient temp in the shop is 100 degrees....

The outside of my oven gets very hot to the touch (probably at least 120 degrees), but it doesn't burn me physically simply because I don't spend any dwell time at it..... Rarely above 400 degrees, unless outgassing.... then I go 450.
