Default My propane fired oven build

I am in the process of building a 4x4x8 oven. I decided to be different and use propane for heat instead of electric. I will be using a 55,000 btu MR.Heater forced air heater. I will be controlling the heater with a Auber pid. I am using Roxul AFB for the insulation. Framing is 25ga steel studs and I am using 18ga galvaized for the sheets. I did not want to go that heavy but I got 10 sheets for $185.

Today I got the base all done. I put wheels on the bottom so I move it around easy.

Looks great! I plan to go all propane too. Didn't know how I was going to control the temperature yet. I thought of going with cast iron propane burners from a grill or using my torpedo heater as you're doing.

So this Auber pid you've referenced will be able to control the temp? How does that regulate it? (I'm trying to learn more)

The pid will control it just like if it where electric. The pid will tell the heater to turn on at a certain temp and off at a certain temp. I Installed a 110v gas solenoid to control the heater. See next post.

I got my valve today and got it installed. I took out the push button valve and put the solenoid in it's place. I spliced the wires into the 110v coming into the heater. I also got the control box all mounted and the pid and switches hooked up. The right switch is for the light and the left one is for the heater.
