Description: I think these are for a Honda motorcycle, but not positive. Either way, aluminum base metal. Various pretreatments, double zincate, flash copper, then bright acid copper. Buffed up really well, did most of the work on the buffer, with a quick 2000 grit sanding, and finish buffing.

Description: 6 inch chop to scale, shaved and chanelled. Had to make a vacuum table to do the chop. Cool little tool to have. Flocking (carpet) inside. All the vacuum lines and electrical. My first model chop. And AL tubing for exhaust.

Description: Aluminum base metal - stripped of chrome, then stripped of nickel and copper with nitric acid. Sanded base to 400 grit, double zincated, flash copper, bright acid copper for a while, bright nickel, chrome. Still need to repaint the textured area in black.

Description: Finally got a chance to work on my own stuff. 80 Kawi, engine cover, cam tensioner, small engine cover. Blasted, zincated, nitric strip, zincated, flash copper, acid copper for a long long time, bright nickel, decorative chrome. First time I used my new 20 gallon bright acid copper and was very happy with the results.

Description: I refaced this metal Meyer 5J because the tip was too close. It's now about a 6 or 6*. I replated the entire facing several times to make the piece look stock again, but it most certainly isn't. I actually LIKE it now. I also tried to clean up some of the marks on the back where tooth pads used to be, but there seemed to be no discernible difference and I gave up.

Description: Gold over silver. I stripped this down to bare brass many years ago and liked the way it looked but was tired of cleaning it all the time. It looks just about the same now but I shouldn't have to do nearly so much maintenance on it!

Description: Vintage "rose gold" bell wash (actually copper) over a nickel-plated Aquilasax C-melody saxophone. Going for that vintage look on a brand new horn! This sort of detailing was common on instruments until about WWII. The nickel underneath is so hard that I could buff this out with polishing compound and leave the nickel untouched.

Description: Sax mouthpiece replating. A silver-plated Otto Link?!? No, just a brief stop-over on the way to gold plate! I had to reface the mouthpiece because it was damaged, which took it down to bare brass in places.
