Default Plating Diecast

Interested in attempting to plate (brass/gold/copper) to Diecast (small scale) car bodies, such as \"hotwheels\" Is this possible? What specific kits/steps would be needed to do so? If so, would these pieces then need to be polished following plating? I am VERY new at this, Thanks to all who can help.

Default Re: Plating Diecast

Plating die cast (or Pot Metal) can be tricky, but we've come up with a few products to help you.

All polishing should be done prior to plating. Plate the die cast with our Flash Copper Kit.

After plating with the primer kit, the part will be copper plated. Polish again, then you may plate with brass-gold etc. See our kits page for info on other plating products we supply.

Good luck!
