I was wondering what base metals Copy Chrome plates over. Can raw, cleaned and polished steel be directly plated, or is a strike coat of something else needed first? I assume Copy Chrome can be plated onto brass with no problems, but what about aluminum and possibly pot-metal?
Thanks, Hans. |

Copy Chrome can go directly over steel(not stainless steel) and brass.
Treat aluminum with the zincate solution first, then copy chrome. Pot Metal needs to be plated with the pot metal primer plate or FLASH COPPER first.
