Default A couple carb plating questions

1) After zinc plating my carburetors and fresh water rinse I worry that some solution may still remain in small passages or fuel bowls and would contaminate the chromate solution. Would it be best to have a heated tank of fresh water and submerge to insure all is thoroughly removed?

2) To obtain the finish of a typical dichromate Holley carb would you add zinc brightener or not? I really don’t want to polish but need the carbs to look factory original.

Sorry if these seem like redundant questions but I’ll be plating several sets of carbs in the next week or so and want the best results possible.

Thanks
Ken
