Hey guys,
I was wondering if there's anyone from Wyoming/Colorado that can do a small job for me. I have an antique lamp base made out of pot metal. It has a repair of solder at the joint and has some of the original copper plate left on it. I already sandblasted it down to the bare copper and some of the pot metal is showing. The cost of buying the equipment is a little excessive and the local people aren't very helpful. I'd like to have it copper plated, so I can restore the original patina. It's a very old and rare base, so it has to be done by someone very knowledgeable. I don't want to have someone experimenting on the base. The size of it is 22" tall, but only about 2" wide. The base is about 10" across. If you can help, please let me know. Thanks. -Dave |
