Default metal black question

After i clean my bolts up and polish them on a wire wheel, i acid etch them and dip them into blacking solution, soak in distilled water right after, after drying i spray them with clear for protection, finding they are way to glossy. Can i get some opinions here, is there a differant clear coat that does not turn parts glossy looking

If your are spraying with a gun, you can buy a flattening agent for it, I'm pretty sure it is fine silica. If you are bomb can-ning them what level of gloss is stated on the can?

You could try Caswell Sealer - Caswell Inc. - Copper Conductive Paint and Sealer

Or VHT Satin Clear - Caswell Inc. - VHT Clear Coat
