Default prep aluminum after b17?

What do you guys do? It seems like blasting is the only thing that takes the black sut off. But it seems like there should be something easier

After I strip the part with B17 and rinse it off I quickly blast it to put a good profile on the metal. I then wash the part with soap and high pressure water to remove any contaminates left by blaster. After that I apply my iron phosphate and rinse with low pressure water, then it is off to the oven to dry/out gas. I use this process everyday and it has yet to let me down.

And if you had to restrip it, you would do all that again everytime?

Yep do I the same thing every time. It sounds like a lot but I can do it very quick as I have a system I am used to. Also I do several different parts at once to make it more efficient.
