Default Noobie here with some question.

    Hello everyone,

I am new to the PC process. I am an avil snowmobilier and i want to PC some of the parts on my sled. Some steel and some aluminum. My family owned busness allows me access to large ovens and and beadblasting cabinet so i figured it would be cheaper and more put to do my own PC. Some of the aluminum parts i want to PC on the sled are the head cover and brake caliper. Maybe some exhaust parts. Do i need to take special care when PC
these aluminum parts because of the 400* temps?

    thanks.

if you are worried about the temps, check out powder buy the pounds Ral colors, I believe they cure at 340 degrees for 10 minutes, at that temp it should not effect the metal at all. even at 400 I have never had an aluminum part fail, you wouldnt want to do it a bunch of times but once you should be fine.

i wouldn't do the exhaust parts in powder, maybe with the exception of the muffler.

OK. Thanks for the information guys. Also i bought a HF gun for about 70 bucks. I only got that one because of a few reviews i read online. Is it really **** and should i return it for a different one? At this point its only going to be a hobby.

The harbor freight gun can be modded to work well using a hopper if you want to search the forums for gun mods should come up with all sorts of stuff and ideas to make it work better
That said it didnt work to bad out of the box but way better after mods
