Default Chrome Powder

I powdered a piece in chrome today and it came out looking pretty good. It does have a little haze to it, so I was wondering if that is normal or if I need to make some adjustments. I cured it at 400 degrees for 25 min.
Thanks guys.

If it's our chrome powder, it should be cured at 375 for 15 mins.

I did my tunnel ram, carb riser, and valley cover at 375 degrees for 15 minutes. Nice and shiny! My friends thought I really did chrome them before I confessed it was powder. I didn't use a clear coat on top either. Too many people have said it dulled the finish.

Do you use Caswells powder? I am using a powder from Columbia.

Yes, the chrome, yellow, and black are all Caswell's powder. The price is right, and I've had very good results, so I haven't gone looking anywhere else.

What KV should the the chrome powder be set on....65KV, 55KV??

Also, it's really difficult to tell what the finnish looks like from the pics in the thread.......does anyone have any other pictures of the chrome powder paint?

To me, chrome powder coat looks like polished aluminum. It matches the other polished aluminum pieces on my engine very nicely. My powder gun is a consumer model, and doesn't have adjustable voltage. Quite honestly, I don't even know what the voltage is.
