what is inside a typical brake booster, do you think I can take it apart and just PC the shell?
also how does PC withstand brake fluid incase of future leaks from the cylinder![]()

Brake fluid is no big deal for most Powders. Especially TGIC polyester and Epoxy powders.... The "Super Durables" are even better than the TGIC polyesters... They're an enhanced version of the same.
My understanding of the construction of the brake booster, is that it is possible to take it apart and replace the diaphragm.... Hence,.... rebuilt units. The Booster part won't leak brake fluid typically.... The Master cylinder itself is the culprit in most cases.
i had a customer a little aggitated that he got some brake fluid on some calipers that had a clear tgic and they turned hazy white where the brake fluid had soaked in, after i told him the powder would hold up to brake fluid. i was a bit puzzled that this happened, but after wiping them off, the white haze went completely away after a couple days.
Besides the rubber diaphram there's a big honking spring in there too! You should take it appart and reassemble on a press. It makes it easier to assemble anyway.
