Kool Koat 2.0 or Hyper Smooth 02

Ready to up grade PC gun & don't know which to go with. Kool Koat2.0 or the Hyper Smooth02. Just looking for opinions on the better of the two. Was leaning towards the Kool Koat system.

If you can find a used Hyper Smooth 02 for a good price then get that but other wise I would go with the Kool Koat system. The electronics in the Kool Koat have been changed recently and it makes a noticeable difference especially when using the multi coat tip. In fact I just I just got mine back from Columbia after having the upgrade installed last week.

I have just registered here, but have viewed some of your posts, and see that you are seasoned, and I've come to respect your views. You've experienced the differences in various guns.

But I'm a bit confused by this one comment: "especially when using the multi coat tip."

I know your swear by this tip.

But the KK 2.0 features list states that it does not use this tip:

"Does not need additional nozzles to apply multiple coats - Tested up to 15 Coats COLD"

Am I missing something here?

My background: Metal fabricator for over 30 years. Ventured from iron to alum in 2005, and have been sending my alum fabs out for powder until the last 6 mos. Just finished building a propane-fired oven (4th generation as others were quick and dirty.)
New unit is 9'H x 1.5'W x 13'L with 3 overhead tracks to roll pieces in. I'm very happy with it.

But believe it or not, I'm still using my Hotcoat hobby gun. As you can imagine, it can take quite a bit of effort to produce a good product with it, but you get used to it, and can pick up the pace and quality as one progresses up the learning curve.

Now with the 4th generation oven up and running, and plenty of work booked, the gun will be purchased this week.

So I need to know if I will in fact be forefitting the Multi-coat tip by buying the Kool Koat 2.0, and at what consequence. I mean we've seen the vid where the guy coats wood and glass with the Multi-coat tip on his HS01 - and your testimony has been very positive.

I am also interested in understanding the electronics upgrade on the KK 2.0. Is this equivalent to PBTP's ES02 SYSTEM? If so, perhaps it can more than compensate, if the Multi-coat tip is not used on the KK 2.0
