bad mat spot with gloss paint

I have a little question

i am painting music drum rim with gloss black powder

some area are perfect and some other are getting satin or mat finish why
to much heat ? i am stuck

Need pictures and some kind of description of the equipment you're using to give decent help..... but typically the Matte Spots on an otherwise glossy piece would be overtemped more than cooked too long,... so it could be that or some other unknown variable kicking you..... A picture would give more to work with than anything....
