this seems to be the hot topic of the week I suppose so I'll give this another "go". I'd remove the seals just for insurance sake. After all, it's a water pump that you'll more than likely be bead blasting and degreasing...not to mention, a 30 cent seal is one of those things you always wish you did when it was all apart. Who knows what will happen when you least expect it,right? Always seems to be on a Sunday after 5PM when nobody's open, friends don't answer phones and yer always at least 50 miles from home anyways, am I right? lol. Strip the pump, get new seals from your local autoparts store for maybe a whopping 2 dollars and put em back in when done I say. Worst that could happen is that you have a good looking water pump with fresh seals? There's worse things in life I guess.......Russ
