Ok guys, I am done with trying to get my cousin to spray this stuff for me. I have a can of Silvaspray that Caswell was gracious enough to give to me to try on a non-conductive material to see if it will conduct elecricity to attract powder. I will, as long as this is ok with Caswell, mail it to whomever is actually going to give this a shot. You need a paint spray gun to spray it, so make sure you own one and not someone you know! like me! lol As long as Caswell agrees with this, send me an email with you name and address and I will mail it out. Sorry for taking so long everyone who was anticipating this, but I tried and tried, but he kept having things come up and kept pushing it off. I apologize

lol.... the saga continues. If I had any free time ( free time? what is that nowadays? lol) I'd give it a try, but I'm so far behind these days I'm in front of myself again. I'll keep watching for updates on this.

That is how I am, so many things going on at once, hard to get into something out of the ordinary. Plus, I don't have a liquid spray gun, which I may just have to buy sometime soon. We will see, if no takers I gotta do something, Caswell was gracious enough to give it to me, I need to make due on my promise.

What about the low temp powder? I would be interested in trying it out. It has to be sprayed through a paint gun right? Is there any special things that it requires? How long does it take for it to dry? I might be interested in trying it out on like the fenders/body for a four wheeler and on some MDF. What colors are available for a low temp cure?

Yes it needs to be sprayed, but that is as much as I know about it. There are more specifics here on the board with it. As for doing it on 4 wheeler fenders? I'd be a little leary of that, again this is from not really knowing what the Silvaspray is like. I painted the fenders on my quadracer some years back, the plastic is polypropylene, and needs a special primer and a flex additive to be sprayed first then the topcoat of paint, which also needs flex additive. The stuff has held up great, way better than I thought. Matter of fact, I forgot they were even sprayed till a guy asked me the other day about it. If the silvaspray remains flexible, and gives good bite on the plastic then it may work, otherwise be a waste. If you are interested though, email me and we can work things out.

I would be happy to try it on plastic auto parts I am working with.
If you just want someone to test it and get back to you with results, I will be happy to try it. and report back. |

if one of you decides to take this task on..... I thank you in advance as it really helps all of us. Just be sure to have the equipment and ability to document your results for the whole thing. It's only useful if it can all be re-produced. |
