Problem with gun... - Plating Powder Coating Buffing Anodizing

I use an Eastwood gun and the last couple of times I've used it, the powder won't attract unless you get the tip of the gun within about two inches of the part. Any farther away and it won't attract. Anyone else ever had this problem?
I think now I wish I had found this site before purchasing the gun

I don't know anything about Eastwood's gun, but you could always sell it on eBay and buy a Caswell gun

I've had excellent results with mine, and then we could give you firsthand user support, because that's what most of us use.

Have you gotten the tip near the hook to see how good the spark is?Just because you have a ground doesn't mean it's a good ground.
