any experience w/ high temp on headers - Plating Powder Coating Buffing Anodizing

I did a 4-wheeler header(w/ high temp stainless powder), and it didn't last like I expected. The owner didn't appear to wash or clean the header and let mud build up on it. I want to blame the mud build up and not my application

I redid the header in ceramic and instructed him to "keep it clean". Now I have a chance to do a set of headers in high temp powder but I'm concerned about the duribility. Any input? Thanks,,,,,
