Default My new amateur PC shop

I have been lurking these threads for some time now gathering information on how to build and equip a home PC shop and this is what I came up with.

This is my spray booth which measures 4'x4' and is equipped with a triple filtration system. The shelf is adjustable to heights of 36", 42" and is also completely removable for larger pieces. You will notice the overhead rail system which allows me to move larger parts from the booth to the infrared system without touching or disturbing the piece. It is made from a rail and hangers for a sliding barn door. There are two 100 watt enclosed halogen lamps overhead to light the booth and a rollaway cart which houses my Caswell PC gun, cans of powder, masking supplies and silicone plugs.

Here is the heart of my filtration system, a blower equipped with a 1 1/2hp motor. My compressor is a single stage with a 7hp motor and 60 gallon tank.

A large blasting cabinet and dust collector.

A photo showing my oven and location of the blower motor and compressor.

A Curetek infrared lamp purchased from Caswell used for curing larger parts. The rack on the wall holds my respirator, a Raytek infrared heat gun and a Blue Point air vacumn for cleanups.

An overall view of the PC area in my home workshop.

Here are some photos from my first attempt at PC'ing.

An old header used for my first practice.

Header after glass bead blasting and prep with acetone.

Header after being coated with silver powder.

Finished piece after curing.

Hope you enjoyed this as much as I did. I am now hooked!!

Very nice, you can actually see the floor in your shop.

I wish I had a floor in my "shop"!!!

I would love to have that system. its so clean. I use my basement. the only problem I am haing is that I can not figure out how to make a spray booth. like with the venting system. how do people do this. along with the filters like what you did..

can someone help me out here, tell me how they made their own spray booths. i do things as big as motorcycle frames.. well I do cars too, but thats a whole different thing...
