Default Powder Coating (Chrome) Question...

Hello all...

At the expense of time, hardship, and frankly money... I've decided to get several pieces of my engine compartment powder coated instead of polishing them myself...

"IF"

I can get a "close to chrome like" appearance on the parts. The parts are several pullies, and alt. housing and an ac condenser housing.

I was at a car show last week and spoke with a person who had a booth set up for his powdercoating/ceramic coating business.

He told me that getting the parts ceramic coated would look more like chrome... I think he's full of bs.

Please correct me if I'm wrong...

I've seen pictures here of chrome powdercoating that looks pretty good.

Thanks for your help.

I think ceramic coating looks pretty good, but not as good as powder coating. I recently did a few parts for a show car. The owner had the intake done in ceramic, and when he saw the way the pulleys came out he said he wished he had me do the intake, because it would've been much better looking if it was powder coated. I would have it powder coated.

Thanks for the input you guys,

Hey, what shows are you planning on attending in FL?

Did you go to www.UnifiedCustoms.com to see what shows I'm scheduled for so far?

I'm in Ft. Lauderdale so let me know if you will be near by. Also, I think one or two of the shows that I'm registered for are further up north in FL.
