Default Cup Cleaning

Sorry for the noob question,

It seams to me that exchanging powder between can and cup is pretty ineffecient (meaning alot of powder hits the floor, the coater, the ceiling, etc) do you guys just load a cup and reseal it for basic/popular colors. Or do you load, unload, clean.

I tried the paper funnel deal to transfer powder, I pretty much transfer about 80% to the target and 20% to everything else. Looking for a best practice here...

Thanks
