oven broiler element ? - Plating Powder Coating Buffing Anodizing

I'm using a dedicated household oven and was wondering if the broiler element at the top can be removed or does this element come into play during preheating of the oven?

You can remove it or relocate it to the bottom. Most ovens use both elements on the preheat setting.It will still heat up with one but it will take longer.

there are 2 wires to it ..
