Grounding question - Plating Powder Coating Buffing Anodizing

I have been doing alot of research on powder coating because I want to start doing it at home. The one thing I have yet to find an answere to is grounding the piece to be coated. If you clip somthing to the piece to ground it how does the powder cover that section? Does it run over slightly during the cure process? Any help would be great.

I attach the ground clip to the Hook I hang the part from.

Or sometimes the part has a back side that isn't seen.

i got a copper rod that the ground wire is attached to and off the rod i got hooks for hanging. i have a 4 way ground set up so what powder don't hit the part the free floating powder is reclaimed and reused ....
