I have the hobby type pc gun and have just recently started powder coating with good results. I recently tried two coats (curing in between) and it seems like the powder doesnt want to stick to the first coat. I checked the grouding seemed ok. Do I need to start with a thinner coat. I have not tried clear over anything yet is that easier? Also what causes orange peel? It seems like when I put a heavier coat on it has less orange peel, is this a good assumption?
Thanks again! Evan |

Try this when doing two coats jush as translucents over chrome base.
Shot your second color(coat) whilie the part is around 150 degrees. This is how I do my two step trans. colors and get very great results. Let me know if this helps. |
