re-shoot a color over a clear? - Plating Powder Coating Buffing Anodizing

can i re shoot a metallic color over a clear? I don't like the first results of the metallic and clear coat.

By doing this you are now up to a third or fourth coat.Can it be done--yes.
Should it be done--no, strip it,start over and do it right. The more coats you add the more difficult it becomes. Also once you exceed a certain thickness you begin taking the durability lower instead of higher.

I gotta say Dale is 100% correct. You can do it but you should just start over.

yep it only takes a few sec's to strip it .... you are looking at more problems than it is worth .... just like dale said
