disposable filter question - Plating Powder Coating Buffing Anodizing

How long are you supposed to use the disposable filter that comes with the powdercoating guns. The guy at the tool store told me that your supposed to change it after every use. If thats the case i will have to buy abunch of these! Is this true

I have a pretty good water filter system on my compressor so I change mine about once a month...when I remember..

i changed mine after every month used they are cheap and you don't want water getting in the powder
