If the item is just been sandblasted, you will not need to sand it.
Good Luck

You just need to sandblast the part. If I am trying to take casting marks out of a part I will sand them down and then sandblast.

The only time I sand or grind is when there is spatter, an ugly weld, or flashing from casting. Otherwise I just blast it and go.
