i want to build an oven

i was wondering if i was to build a 3 ft square box cut a hole in the top and mount the 1500 watt infrared lamp over it will this work any good?it should contain the heat pretty good. any input would be greatly appreciated thanks mark s.

does your ir have a temp setting so that it will come on and off? sounds like the long hard way. just use a torpedo heater and oven stat control and be done with it. also thats to small of a box, as soon as you use it you will realize that there is so much more that can be done. build as big as you have room for and put it on wheels. check out my album for a idea

i got a multi use box for valve covers i place the ir on the side then i place a door on and let it bake

so i spray in it
scrap out the bottom
and cure all in 1 place ...
