Default titanium motorcycle exhaust muffler?

I am going to coat a titanium motorcycle can... just the muffler section, not the pipes. It is made of titanium. I am going to coat it with the Matte black high temp.

Anything I should know about titanium and powder coating?

Hey Mtnbiker:
No special prep needed for the Titanium. Just do whaty you would for any powder... prep, prep prep.
Good Luck

Titanium can What on earth did that cost you I thought only jet engines were using exotic metals like titanium. I saw titanium once shatter like glass during testing due to some wild temperature changes.

It should PC just like most metals. Might go down the preheat and outgas road just to be on the safe side.

Very common on motorcycles. Doest cost too much.
Can get a full titanium exhaust from header to top for around $1000 on average. Can very depending on manufacturer.
