Default hobby gun question

in the trouble shooting guide there is reference to poor adhesion due to voltage issues (to high or to low) the recommended fix is adjust the output kv between 40-100kv. the desription of the hobby gun says it has a fixed output of 16 kv. if this is the case how can it be adjusted to correct problems? i ask to try to decide if i should start with the hobby gun or wait for the $$ to buy the pro gun. thanks for advice.

poor adhesion can be caused my many things, bad ground, improper prep work, go with the hobby gun first, that way if you decide not to pursue pc'ing your not out those big $$, the so called hobby gun is the one I use and I have put the sucker thru hell for over 2 years and its still works great. About the only real advantage I can see with a pro gun is being able to adjust the voltage for those tight recess's on parts, but using a few tricks the hobby gun will do it just fine..

i sure hope he gave you are numbers .. i need to call the both of them .. but if you need any help let us know.. i am glad some one got it all that we know..

did he give you the little hcoat bottles to? if he did look them up on the internet and fid a company that sell's them and buy in bulk i found a few place around here.. I found a mayo jar will screw on to the gun it is not a good use but it works in a pinch.. just tape it to help keep the powder in the jar ..

good luck. it will take some getting use to ..
