Default multiple colors

I've done paint and body a few years but this is new to me. My question is when you do a two tone or multi-color and mask off., does the tape come off like it does on regular automotive paint giving a clean raised line on the top color? Is the procedure totally different?

It leaves a line that can be felt running your hand across it, yes. Most people liquid clear over it to get rid of the lines, though I'd love to hear any other ideas, suggestions.

with automotive paint you need to wet sand the line out with 2500 then clear it or it will look like a fool painted it ...

Even when we do are custom paint on car's flames and what nots there is a thin lip we just wet sand not dry.. then clean and prep the part and shoot with a good clear then buff

Getting the oven setup now everything else is waiting. I know about the wet sand and clear. Done all my paint on my Harley with air brush work and all. Did a special complete lacquer job once on a car. Never again. My hands were pruned for a week. So I take it, you work PC multi-color in a similar fashion to regular automotive paint. Any special things to watch out for.

Pickelboy,
Like I need one more thing to do. I had to put side boards on my plate. I have things I wanted PC'd and I'm a bit anal retentive on how they are done so to fix the problem, here I go. Maybe earn a little extra cash on the way.
