I will post pictures of a blower tonight (I hope cause I need to get a digital camera) that I have and see if you can do anything with it. I need the one on this motor because I have a Hilborn injection hat coming and I will need to dyno it.

The blower shell I can send you is not in that bad of condition but does need to be re-worked when it comes to polish. The guy that had it was doing hand jobs on it.

Thanks.

Homeseller.

Oh come on guys, You have to look at the whole picture. This should be looked at as a challenge, an opportunity, these should be a motivator for ALL who love Aluminum and want better then this for our Aluminum little friends!

That is the Blower I have to work with because my other one was just rebuilt and I need it for a runner.

Come on big friends, pals, fellow Ammonium lover who post here. What should I do to get this thing looking good? Wieand has NEVER been accused of producing nice looking parts but they do create Horse Power and that is always a crowed pleaser.

Thanks.

Homeseller.

well bro as chuck said getting it to shine is no problem but getting all the pit out may be. it is a substandard casting that has porosity. it may be possible to cut it down to a point where no more pits exist but unlikely. not being a pain but just to make you aware upfront. chuck is a great metal finisher and he has done some very impressive pieces, that said you are in good hands if he does it but thefact is most all castings will pit like this or worse the deeper you cut into them. i just recently finished a gm tpi setup that i ended up giving back to the guy because the pitting was so bad i could not get a shine to even come out. best of luck with this blower though bro.

OK I am stubborn but not stupid. For a California guy to argue with a guy from Michigan about car parts would be stupid.

So here we go. Sand out the waves in the cast and Coat it? Plate it? Should I say the heck with the heat problems and chrome it? Should I take a poll? I am getting ready to tear this thing down before the weekend is over and have an itchy finger to start making the calls to get this issue behind me and move on to motor, trans, bell housing, and rear end color/plating issues.

As bad as the pits are in that, I would chrome plate it. Do you think a blower gets any hotter than the valve covers? I sure don't know. You could also use that ceramic chrome looking coating that is used for headers (look on caswells site for pics and info).
