Cool Survey Kind of. Just wondering really

Must of us on here buy are Powders and supplies from Caswell's but I know I do not buy 100% from them. Some come from Columbia, Tiger Drylac and a few others.
Who do you get your supllies from and why not 100% Thru Caswell's?
I purchase thru others do to Colors, that is the only reason. There shipping is great and if you have a question they are there to answer it.
Just wondering.
Yes this has been approved by Caswell so you can name anyone and everyone...

well since i do both polish and pc i get supplies from different places. as for buffing supplies it is strictly caswell. they offer the best array of supplies and the best prices i have found. as for the powder, when i bought my setup(gun, ovens and powder from dale) there was a large supply of powder that i am still working through, as for new colors i have also used the same suppliers that you noted and it was only due to color selections. have also been talking with nic/prismatic powders, they have a very large choice of colors but the draw back is 5 pound mininum. i have also used EW on one occasion since they offer 1/2 pound increments and the job i had only took about 3 ounces. not worth buying 1 pound for that. i did get in on the fourth of July deal for the red, white, and blue that caswell offered and was well pleased. as for service i have always had great service from caswell and will continue to buy from them due to the forum and support they offer.

I buy alot of my powders from Colombia Coatings because they carry different colors. I am also starting to buy more and more from ********, I like their starlight colors and they have great costumer service. I like how caswell accepts paypal though, thats really convenient.

I use others for one of two reasons- 1: I am already used to one certain color and reluctant to chang supliers- have been burned before. and time. some times I'll get a rush job and I can't afford to wait a week or more to get powder from the other side of the country. Like the last time I ordered Lollipop Blue and had to wait for like two months- that color was the only reason I made the order- but oh well it in the past.

I usually buy all of my powder from caswell, my first couple pounds were from sherwinn williams, and they came at $9 canadian for a kg on standard colors, well, you got it in a plastic bag to begin with, caswell you get a can, while columbia you get plastic bottles, caswell stores their powder the best i think, and ship it perfectly also. I also like the pay pal option, since i dont have a credit card yet, not old enough, and pay pal is the easiest right now. Most of my orders are from caswell, my last one was from columbia, (first time) it took a long time being from the states, instead of the canadian caswell outlet. I ordered from columbia due to a customers color request, but i also ordered a super high gloss black, which caswell now has and their flake additives were big chunks, so i tried those out, i think caswell should get that stuff also, instead of the sparkles, there sparkles dont do a whole lot, and then a few funky colors that are neat, and caswell never had. However; caswell is starting to bring in more and more colors, which is great, another order soon! i need some extreme chrome, also caswells now stocking super high gloss clear i believe, so no more going anywhere else for that either.

I ordered from one other supplier once, and, as others have said, color purposes. I needed a turquois for a '61 Pontiac, & that was as close as I could get. The only time I'll order from another supplier is for that reason. I'm the type of person that's faithful until.....well, you get the picture. Keep up the good work Caswell, & Merry Christmas!

I know we would like do some business with Caswell because of what they provide here and they seem like nice people.

We had a local company doing our powder coating about 3 years ago..they did crappy work, about 50% rejection. We started doing the powder coating in house and we're stuck using the same powder.

If a customer ordered a product from us 3 years ago and they order an accessory now, the powder has to match..
We get 50lb at a time from TCI Universal Black..

We started getting a large demand for custom colors for our line. We looked what was available and decided to go with the RAL colors for the same reason listed above, good selection and the ability to get a reliable match down the road.
We get 5LBers of the RAL's from Tiger, usually have it in 2 days

We've got some new products coming out that will be wrinkle black and that we plan on using Caswells...

If the stock colors were consistent over the years and through the batches I'd probably get that from Caswells too..
