Default Need help pricing some wheels

This will be the first wheels of this type I have done. This guy wants the wheels stripped of the paint thats in them, it's wet paint not PC. Them PC them back the same way they are with black in the insets and the lips polished then clear coat. I don't want to under price and loose my a** but I don't want to be way over either. What would you guys charge?

Thanks Chris, He has 6 of these to do. Time to break out the polishing supplies. Did you ever get a chance to get those pics for me? I will be doing headers tomorrow.

Have you been doing them for that price with the polishing too? I have priced some steel wheels already sandblasted front only single color for $40, but there is no way I would do this amount of work for those prices.

I priced them to him for $150 and he was happy with the price but keep in mind this is a show car.

Well I just got a sandblast cabinet in and I will be offering sandblasting with the powder coat and clear. This was just the faces. I never thought of doing the back because half of my wheel community consists of off roaders which only want satin black rims. I will probably price it at around $50/rim when it gets to the glossy ones because they stand out more and are made for show quality rather than durability. Alot of these guys that i do it for the off road community said to be rather average on pricing. I figured the price of media, chemicals, and powder then I would easily make a $100 profit for a set of 4 wheels. Show car quality is a different story. I'm reconsidering my pricing factor now if I want to resume this business as a big provider for the household income.

General rule of thumb for pricing parts to the general public.

If the customer looks like they just passed a kidney stone over the price then it's just about right. If the price doesn't seem to make them kringe then the price is way too low. The customers that go away because of the price, you didn't want anyways because they are cheap.
