From what I understand I need a basic kit to start(from this site), air compressor, and electric oven.
As for prepping the parts, anyone have any links to how or what should be done? Some sort of sanding wheel? Im fairly new to preping these kinds of things. Can someone explain how exactly air compressors are rated and what I should look for? anything else? -nick |

A sandblaster is best for prep but sanding will work as well. You have to make sure all of the existing paint/coating is removed. All rust and grime also has to be removed.
You don't need a large compressor for the powder coater. However if you want to use it for sandblasting you will need a large compressor. I've seen $50 coleman compressors at Pep-Boys that would work well for the PC gun. |
