my oven is a standard conventional oven with my new addition of maybe 3ft., i have 22gauge metal on my new addition,with 2inch mineral wool,i cased outter part with metal 2x4 studs,took the wool laid it inside the fram work,then covered it with thin metal roofing. have both bake,and broil elements wired together and they both stay on,havent let it run long ,just wondering does this sound like a workable oven.also the broil element is transfered to new addition out front.

I have only been doing this for about a year but my oven is also home made and wired about the same, and it works perfect every time.

wfo ,did you wire your broil to your bake element and also did your thermostat cycle your elements one you reached your set temp.

Yes, the way I wired everything it does work.

got it going ,had to go to the appliance store and purchase a 30amp thermostat,works great ,but cost me 48bucks.its within 5degrees according to my digital therm.
