Default sand blasting parts

ive just completed my metal prep work,my portable sand blaster is stoping up due to the sand, i have med.grade industrial sand ,it has some pretty big stones in it ,are there any other sand i can use ,i had to sift this sand with porch screen to get it to spray, i eventually will get a cabinet ,just having to suit up and use the portable one.also this sand is only 7.00 per 100lb.

I use the same basic stuff for blasting. I bite the bullet and screen it all first. I store the screened sand in 5 gallon buckets. Stores easy and stays clean.

If you have a Tractor Supply near you, they have 25 or 50lb (I don't remember which) bags of Black Diamond for $7. I use a variant of it and it is 100 times better than sand. I gave away all of my sand when i gave away my old booth.
If you are interested I am finishing my new booth soon and I plan on drawing up plans for it. If anyone wants a copy email me and I'll send them free of charge. I am just out to help spread the fun.
