Default Gun question

Since my Caswell gun came with no instructions I have just been learning how to use it as I go. But I am not sure what the flat head plastic screw on the under side of the gun does? Does it control powder flow?

That controls the amount of "rinse" or dilution air that goes straight through the barrel of the gun. It bypasses air to help fluidize the powder in the barrel.
Hope that made sense

yes it does. That expains why I had so much trouble last night getting powder to flow out of the gun whe nI had put it in too tight.
