Default mirror red q's

before i found this site i bought a competetor's set up. With it I got the ******* system and mirror red, black, and blue. After playing with the silvervein and coppervein, I decided to spray the mirror red. I thought it was a kandy coat but when i put it over my polished part is turned to a regular none transparent red. Did i possiblly spray to much powder? I stayed 6" from the part and adjusted my air regulator at the gun to 8-10 psi. I then let it flow out at 450 for 7 min, and then final baked at 400 for 20 min. This is what the directions say to do. Where did I go wrong? Any help please

Mirror red is not an opaque or translucent/candy color. It's a single coat color with high gloss.

now this is something that ****es me off. I specifically asked the girl who took my order if the mirror colors were a kandy and she replied yes. If you don't know the answer to a question about your own product go to a tech and ask. Thank you anyways for the response.

I haven't ordered many Caswell colors yet, but I think you were looking for the Transparent Red or Lollypop Red. They are both diff. shades of candy top coating.

If you go to the ordering section for Caswell, the colors are broken down into types (Epoxyies/Hi-temp/Candies/Metallics/etc...) with actual customer pictures attached to most. You can see how both colors above look on parts before you order.

No problem. I just ordered 4 colors today. Let's see how they turn out. I have many more to go if these turn out good.
